Talk about iconic. Dock’s Oyster House was established in 1897 by Harry “Dock” Dougherty and remains in the family today. Harry’s vision was to provide quality food and service and that commitment lives on.  It has propelled Dock’s through generations of economic and historical changes including the great depression and two world wars. During that time Atlantic City faced several declines and rebirths but Dock’s survived and thrived.

Over the Years

Dock’s original 60 seats grew to 80 in 1945 and in 1960 the next generation purchased a liquor license and expanded the dining room again. And so, each generation honored Harry’s commitment.  Over time the Dougherty family expanded the kitchen, added a raw bar, a modern kitchen and a 3-story addition.

Dock’s of Today

Harry’s of today offers a full raw bar with many varieties of oysters, befitting the name Dock’s Oyster House.  But of course, their menus includes lobster, crabmeat, shrimp, tuna sashimi, ceviche, clams & mussels.  Today you’ll find a fine selection of steakhouse options as well, and soups and salads.

Docks offers private dining, an extensive wine list and gift certificates.

Docks Oyster House is located at 2405 Atlantic Avenue in Atlantic City and can be reached at 1-609-345-0092.

A new location has been added at Resorts Casino and Hotel on North Carolina Avenue and the Boardwalk.    The Resorts location can be reached at 609-340-6555.     More    |    Menus    |    Reservations
