The Claridge, A Radisson Hotel

The Claridge Hotel is another beautiful property that brings you back in time, but also has the modern amenities you want for your stay to be special and comfortable.  In 1929 the hotel gained the nickname “Skyscraper by the Sea” and is an architectural beauty reminiscent of an earlier era when celebrity legends stayed and played here.   Its location is just steps from the boardwalk and beaches and less than a mile from the A.C. Convention Center.

Some of the amenities offered for business/convention travelers, families and vacationers include private function and wedding venues, ballrooms, showroom VUE Menu top entertainment (Celebrity Theater), cardio health club, and restaurants.   You also have access to Bally’s casino by way of a connector on the 2nd floor.

The Inn of the Irish Pub

164 St. James Place at the Boardwalk, Atlantic City, NJ  08401

For reservations call 609-344-9063 or 609-344-9064.  Rooms are booked by phone from 9am-5pm M-F and 11am-6pm S-S.

The Inn of the Irish Pub is located a block from the beach and boardwalk.  It’s been a staple in Atlantic City since it was established in 1900 and is one of the most popular tourist attractions in the city.   It’s absolutely a throwback to the days of yesteryear in its ambience, mood and decor!   Upstairs you’ll find 60 guest rooms and a gift shop.   When you walk upstairs from the pub you’ll be amazed.  It’s a true gem!

The Irish Pub was a speakeasy during prohibition in the 1920’s as depicted in the television series Boardwalk Empire.   It shrugged off the law and continued serving through prohibition but was raided by the Feds in 1922.   Many famous people visited and stayed there including Joe DiMaggio and Willie Nelson.   In fact there’s a Joe DiMaggio memorabilia room.   The pub is open 24/7 and is one of the only establishments in A.C. allowed to serve alcohol 24/7 outside of the casinos.  Many local fans and return guests will only drink here, not in any of the newer glitzy bars.

The Irish Pub’s food is delicious, as well as affordable, fast and friendly.  You’ll be amazed at the cost of the rooms and the prices on the menu.

Don’t miss the gift shop or memorabilia rooms when you visit!

The Sheraton Convention Center Hotel is located in the entertainment district of the city.  It’s adjacent to the A.C. Convention Center and a short walk to the shopping district “The Walk – Tanger Outlets” and Boardwalk Hall.   It’s also just a short distance from the boardwalk, beach and boardwalk shops and amusements.
