Murals are a great way to tell the history of a town through the use of artistry and color. They often make a very strong visual statement that can be easily read in the form of an engaging and informative short story. Murals also serve as an excellent way to bring people together, celebrate, and create long-lasting memories.

Co-owner Scott Cronick wanted to freshen up his building exterior and he had an idea. He wanted to do something different so, motivated by other murals in town, he decided to make a mural for his outdoor beer hall.

Tennessee Avenue View

If you’re walking down Tennessee Avenue you’ll now see 5 pieces of art outside of the building, completely changing the atmosphere of building’s exterior and giving visitors another thing to enjoy. Regular visitors want to see change and improvement, something new, and this definitely fits the bill. The artwork inside the restaurant is Atlantic City Monopoly-themed as well.

The Atlantic City Arts Foundation along with Christian Correa helped Cronic gather five artists, including Correa. There were a few stipulations.

  1. It had to be based on the hit board game Monopoly. The beer hall is in the same area as the orange Monopoly blocks St. James Place, Tennessee Avenue and New York Avenue.
  2. The sponsors of the 5 boards had to be featured somewhere in the artwork.

The Orange Loop

This area of Atlantic City is called the Orange loop because the streets are colored orange on the Monopoly board. Cronick would like to see other people follow along so that the businesses in the Orange loop can grow and prosper in the years to come. It is hoped that the city and the CRDA take an interest and make the area even better with landscaping and lights.
