Bicycling on the Boardwalk

Two-wheel Thrills: Biking Atlantic City

Biking the iconic Atlantic City boardwalk is a must as well as an unforgettable adventure if you enjoy the outdoors.  You can bring your own bike or rent one.  

You’ll experience Atlantic City from a different perspective by hopping on a bike and cycling your way along its picturesque boardwalk while enjoying the sea breezes, salt air and sounds of the surf.    You’ll also find unique shops to visit and plenty of places along the way to catch a bite.  You can cruise past the iconic Steel Pier or the historic Atlantic City Lighthouse, and in your travels you could stop and pick up some famous and delicious saltwater taffy to bring home for your family!

When are Bicycles Permitted?

Bicycles are permitted on the Boardwalk from 6am to 12noon year round and 6am to 12noon from Connecticut to Albany Avenues. Bike riding is also permitted Labor Day through July 1st from 4pm-7pm.  24-hour bicycling is permitted from Connecticut Avenue to Gardner’s Basin year-round.   Note that any type of motorized vehicle including motorcycles, motorized skateboards, bicycles and scooters are prohibited on the boardwalk at all times.
